Oh the drama! Combining Mental Health Awareness and Performance Art

During this 8-week summer program (7 sessions) we will be learning about topics and strategies related to mental health while combining it with performance art. I like to think of it as “mindful improv”. Each session will begin by outlining a specific topic regarding our mental health followed by an improv session that allows us to act out the themes and discussions of the day. Discussions will be guided by Registered Psychotherapist, Jessica Curran, while the performances are led by you.  All sessions will have a mindfulness component. Weekly topics (in no particular order) will include social anxiety, perfectionism, self-worth and value, fear of judgement, the masks we wear, emotional regulation and awareness, and body autonomy/asking for help.
