Emotional Resilience through Art Making 9-11 year olds

Aswani is a Registered Social Service Worker and an art therapy student at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute with a focus on the intersection of art and healing. Not bound to one single medium, she writes poetry, short stories, and creates visual art, continually exploring new ways to tell stories through different forms of expression. Aswani’s practice focuses on personal narratives, exploring themes of loss, self-compassion, and identity. She hopes her art invites others to find healing and empowerment through their own art making.

Emotional Resilience is a monthly art-based program designed to help children aged 6-10 build emotional resilience. Each session focuses on a different theme, using creative activities to explore emotions, practice self-expression, and develop essential self-regulation skills in a fun and supportive environment.

This group if for 9-11 year olds.

Stretch and Strength Yoga with Julie

Get ready to flex those muscles and feel the burn in the best way possible! In this class, we're cranking up the fun and the strength with a little help from our trusty resistance bands. It's like a workout and a dance party rolled into one – but with more stretchy goodness!

We'll be mostly parked in our seats, but don't let that fool you – we're gonna work every inch of that body from head to toe. Think of those resistance bands as your personal cheerleaders, giving you that extra oomph to push through and reach your goals.

And the best part? Props are our partners in crime! Blocks, straps, and whatever else we can get our hands on will be there to support and enhance your practice, making it accessible to everyone.

So, if you're ready to stretch, strengthen, and sweat it out in the most fun and non-judgmental space around, then grab your band and let's get ready to rock and roll!

All our yoga classes will offer accommodations and modifications to welcome all individuals.
