B Hope

B Hope (she/they) is an art therapist in-training at the Kutenai Art Therapy Insitute.

As a resident of the Quinte region and a person with privileged intersections of identity (white-bodied, European and Māori descent, queer, nonbinary), B’s approach is anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, strengths-based and in alignment with Western and Indigenous worldviews. B believes that creativity can profoundly benefit the mind, nervous system and the spirit, as it helps us express and explore our inner selves in entirely new ways.

With a bachelor's in fine arts from Toronto Metropolitan University and experience facilitating art therapy groups with Belleville General Hospital, John Howard Society and the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre, B works with their clients to create a space that feels safe, accepting and nurturing to each individual's unique needs.

"I've heard art therapy described as 'magic', and that really sums it up for me. Just by gifting ourselves the space to create, we can deepen our sense of curiosity, cultivate greater self-compassion, process difficult experiences and connect more meaningfully with the world -- all without knowing a single thing about art. Magic!"

B offers 1:1 and group art therapy. B is now accepting clients!
